Diptych 12"x36" (each panel) GRACE. A word that some choose to use as some sort of magical bandaid to cover unbecoming acts. In my life I have found GRACE to be a much more powerful word. A few days after our son, Gabriel’s tragic plane crash, a beautiful friend saw a vision over my family. This is my interpretation of the vision on canvas. My hope is it speaks “GRACE, GRACE” over your heart. The God who has carried my family, and continues to daily carry us, is the same God who will carry YOU now. Nothing, absolutely NOTHING is impossible with Him. May He rain His amazing, perfect GRACE over you as He covers you under the protective canopy of His wings.
I believe angels have been sent out on assignment to protect, guard, and guide each one of us. This, unfortunately, doesn't mean that life will be perfect and pain-free. Only heaven understands the fullness of our stories. From my deeply painful and beautifully joyful experiences I believe this is one way God uses to let us know He is always near... He doesn't miss a thing... and He is watching over us. His angels are WATCHING OVER US and ready to battle on our behalf at His command! Psalm 91

This piece was inspired by the process of a grounded caterpillar profoundly changing into a completely different organism - a butterfly - that is able to effortlessly spread its wings and take flight. Empowered to soar into the future knowing that all that kept it grounded has melted away and is now just a part of its story that unveils its true identity giving this once-caterpillar the ability to soar to new heights.
